あけましておめでとうございます。新年早々興味深い記事を発見しました。あの高学歴で博学のタレントであるカズレーザーさんの、勉強をしない息子さんへのアドバイスだそうです。私としては至極当たり前の意見のようにも思いますが、昔からの永遠の課題でしょう。ヤフーニュースより転載いたしました。
勉強しない・勉強が嫌いという子どもをやる気にさせるのは至難の業。注意するのも体力を使うし、ストレスも溜まりますよね。芸人のカズレーザーさんは、自身のYouTubeチャンネルで「子どもが勉強しない」というママからの悩みを取り上げていました。
お笑いコンビ・メイプル超合金のカズレーザーさんは、11月に自身のYouTubeチャンネル『カズレーザーの50点塾』を更新。「進学校に通う息子が勉強しない」というママの悩みに対し、アドバイスを送っています。
息子がみずから進学校を希望し、受験して合格したものの進学してから勉強をしなくなったという相談者。モチベーションが下がってしまったのか、学校にさえ行かなくなってしまったそうです。いじめられているわけでも、まったく勉強を理解していないわけでもないという息子。注意すると怒らせてしまう悪循環が続き、どうすればいいかわからないといいます。
この相談にカズレーザーさんは、「たぶん勉強についていけてない」とひと言。辛かった受験勉強がまた続くのかとモチベーションが下がっているのと同時に、本当は勉強が得意ではなくて授業についていけてないのではと回答しました。
カズレーザーさんは「そこをフォローしてあげたほうがいい」とアドバイス。「合格できてる時点で、授業は頑張ればついていけるはずなんで」とエールを送ったうえで、「差があってもいいんだよって理解させてあげるのがいい」と子どもとの接し方についても語っています。
カズレーザーさんはさらに、「パパがひどいゲーマー」「子どもたちもゲームばかりで勉強しない」という悩みにも回答。どうしたら勉強に目を向けてくれるのか、悩めるママに厳しい言葉を送っていました。
カズレーザーさんは「お父さんが（子どもたちが）落ちこぼれてもいいって感覚でいる」と強めのひと言。「（お父さんが）勉強しなくてもいいっていう感覚を持ってるから、子どもの前でいっぱいゲームできる」と根本の問題を指摘する一幕も。
「今の現状では、この問題を解決できる方法はない」と話すカズレーザーさん。ゲームやYouTubeより魅力的な勉強はないと話し、この環境のなかでは勉強に目を向けさせることは難しいと語りました。続けて「逆にゲーマーとして暮らしていける環境を整えてあげるのはどうか」と独自の視点からアドバイスを送っています。
現在テレビやYouTubeで人気を集め、100万人を超えるチャンネル登録者数を抱えるひろゆきさん。以前、彼も「勉強しない子ども」への対処法を自身のYouTubeで紹介していました。
ひろゆきさんは、子どもが勉強したくなる理由を親が探してあげるべきと提言。また子どもがゲームばかりするケースでは、ゲームをすることが悪いのではなく1日に何時間勉強をするというルールを決めることが大事だと語っています。
ノルマを達成できれば、何時間ゲームをやっても構わないと話すひろゆきさん。決めた時間内だけは集中して取り組めば、ストレスなく勉強が続けられるのではないでしょうか。
子どもが勉強しようとしないときは責めるのではなく、まず理解しようとすることが大切。子どもの目線に立って考え、それぞれに合った対応ができるといいですね。
