わずか一か月前にはほんのわずかな患者数だったのが、１か月たってその数は数十倍になってきている。驚くのは在日米軍が居る地方にクラスターが発生して拡がっている事である。大都市圏も患者数はそれなりにいるようだが、沖縄や岩国基地がある山口県そして隣接している広島県が、まん延防止策を取っているとは皮肉なもので本来我が国を守るための在日米軍なのに、わが国を危険にさらしているのである。前のコロナウイルスのデルタ株のような重症にはなりにくいらしいが、やはり気を付けたい病である。

Only a month ago, the number of cases was a fraction of what it was a month ago, but a month later, the number has increased tens of times. What is surprising is that the clusters are spreading to the rural areas where the U.S. military is stationed. It is ironic that Okinawa, Yamaguchi Prefecture, where the Iwakuni base is located, and neighboring Hiroshima Prefecture are taking measures to prevent the spread of the disease, even though the U.S. forces in Japan are supposed to protect our country. It seems that the disease is unlikely to be as serious as the previous coronavirus delta strain, but it is still a disease that we should be careful of.
