毎朝NHKの朝ドラ「カムカムエブリボディ」を見るのが楽しみな私である。今回の作品は3部構成で１部は戦前から戦後直後の日本が描かれ、主人公が英語の勉強で人生までが変わった内容であったが、第２部は戦後の高度成長期の我が国が中心で当時の流行歌や新幹線の完成などが画面から流れてきて、幼い時の記憶を思い出していたのであった。当時は映画産業の黄金期であり高知市でも、多くの映画館が存在していたようである。若者の間ではモダンジャズが流行しその様子も番組の中で紹介されるのであるが、俳優たちの楽器演奏の様子が、さも実際に演奏しているようにさえ見えてしまうのにはただ驚いてしまうのである。
私も学生時代トランペットを吹いていたし楽器も数本所有しているが、特にジョー役の演奏容姿には口の形からピストンの動かし方まで、実際に演奏してるようにさえ私には見えたのである。さぞ吹いている姿のシーンは、かなり個人的にも練習したと思う。またその番組は、当時の大映映画の時代劇をほうふつとさせるような、すごい時代劇の立ち回りとコラボしている映像手法で作られており、NHKは朝のわずか１５分の番組でここまでするの！と思ってしまった。番組の制作にも驚きを持って見入ってしまった私であった。
しかし過去にも同じように感じた朝ドラでの俳優の演奏シーンを私は覚えている。2016年に放送された「べっぴんさん」の中で俳優の林遣都氏がジャズドラマー役での演奏シーンを見たが、これには何度見ても本当に叩いているようにしか見えず、個人的に調べてみたら彼はわずか一か月の練習で、あのシーンを撮影したとの事であったのだ。そして最終シーンでは彼自体の演奏を使っていたとか、天は二物を与えずというが役者などは、やはり誰でもなれるものではないと感じたのを思い出したシーンであった。
