読者の皆様こんにちは、約2週間ぶりのブログ投稿です。先週は日曜をのけて４日間の夏休みをもらいました。当初の計画では家族で市外の友人宅を久しぶりに訪問し、家族ぐるみで食事をしようと計画を立てていましたが、最近のコロナの感染拡大により、次回のお互い時間の取れる時に延期になりました。同じ県内の移動ですからそんなに気を使う事もなかったでしょうが、やはりお盆休みで帰省中のこの期間は四国でもコロナ感染患者は大変増えておりまして、大事を取ったというわけです。かかっても軽い症状で回復する人もいれば、長く後遺症に苦しんでいる人いますから、やはりこの感染症は怖いものだと改めて思います。
高知では今年もよさこい祭りが中止となりました。徳島県では阿波踊りの演武会が屋内で限られた参加者の中で行われたようですが、やはり記録的な大雨の影響もあり地方のお祭りも中止や縮小されているので、オリンピックでの興奮はもう随分前のような気がしています。開催式は自分としては良かったように思いましたが、閉会式はテレビで見るにはいろいろな日本的な場面が見え理解できましたが、会場にいる選手たちは良く見えないどころか何をやっているかも理解はできないでしょうから、つまらなくてその会場を離れたり、たばこを吸い始めたのも理解できます。
無理して国家の威信をかけて行われた今回の東京オリンピック、多くのメダリストを輩出し大きな感動をもたらせてくれましたが、一歩下がって冷静になって考えればその後には、国民全体が長く背をわなければならない大きな借金が残っているのです。パラリンピックもまだありますから、その金額はまだ増える事でしょう。コロナも日増しに拡大しているこの頃、今回のオリンピック誘致を一緒に争ったイスタンブールは、内心で「今回やらなくてよかった」と思っているかもしれません。
